TIGA welcomes Fan Studio as its latest member

By April 9, 2013 Press Releases

TIGA, the networkrepresenting games developers and digital publishers, today welcomed Fan Studio
as its latest member.

Fan Studio is
a UK agency specializing in game and mobile application development for iPhone,
iPad and iPod touch.

Fan Studios
has been around since 2007, developing iPhone games from the start. Its
development team consists of five devoted and enthusiastic members (two
graphics designers and three developers). It is a boutique company and it says
it always works as a team on its projects.

The company
has been working for almost 18 months on a point and click adventure game
called Claire Moorcroft and Lost Castle. (http://www.facebook.com/ClaireMoorcroftTheGame). Its apps have been downloaded more than 13 million times. The company
has recently released a new addition to their popular TrafficVille series
called TrafficVille 3D. http://www.trafficville3d.com]

Andrei Buta,
art director at Fan Studio, said:
“We’ve decided to join TIGA because of their amazing
community of professionals. We wanted to meet other leaders in the game
industry and expand our network of contacts. Introducing new policies through
their campaigns and fighting for the Game Tax Relief in order to help the game
industry makes TIGA’s support invaluable to us.”

Dr Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO, said:
“The mobile space is one of the largest growth areas
for video gaming. It is a comparatively easier path to market with a recognised
distribution method and the 70-30 publishing model allows developers to
concentrate on creativity to a greater extent than some traditional work for
hire agreements. We look forward to seeing Fan Studio's new game and warmly welcome
them to the TIGA network.”

About
TIGA:

TIGA is the trade association representing the UK’s
games industry. The majority of our members are either independent games
developers or in-house publisher owned developers. We also have games
publishers, outsourcing companies, technology
businesses and universities amongst our membership. Since 2010, TIGA has won 14 business awards and has been nominated a
finalist for 16 other awards.

 TIGA's
vision is to make the UK the best place in the world to do games
business.  We focus on three sets of activities: political representation,
generating media coverage and developing services that enhance the
competitiveness of our members.  This means that TIGA members are
effectively represented in the corridors of power, their voice is heard in the
media and they receive benefits that make a material difference to their
businesses, including a reduction in costs and improved commercial
opportunities.
