Atomicom joins TIGA

Publish Date: Friday 7th September 2012

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, welcomes Atomicom as its latest member.

The cross platform mobile publisher and developer of apps and games has a wealth of experience. Its team started in the games industry in the early 90s and they have been making games as an independent team since 2005.

Atomicom switched to developing for mobile in 2010 after a long career in console development under the name Playbox.  Now with seven cross-platform titles released, it has worked with most major mobile device manufactures including Lenovo, Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony.

Epitomising the company, Bang Bang Racing THD was named one of the top three Android racing games of 2011 coupled with our technically advanced cross platform mobile engine. Atomicom is currently working on its crowd-funded game House of Golf which is set for release in September.

The developer says it will be a console-quality game with tons of content for iOS/Android/PC and MacOS that crosses crazy golf with Micro Machines. The game features five environments and 45 challenging holes to master. Atomicom has just announced with SCEE that it’s popular Android title Switch will be remade and improved for Playstation Mobile and will launch on Vita and Sony mobile devices at the end of the year.

Director Gary Nichols said:

"TIGA has been invaluable to us as a service and helped us get to many events that we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to attend, we’ve also been to some amazing events organised by TIGA which have helped us improve our circle of clients and becoming a member was not a decision we needed to spend long thinking about, the value we have received has far exceeded the cost to join and recommend other developers to join."

Dr Richard Wilson, CEO of TIGA, said:

"Atomicom has indicated to us that it wants to expand its client base and meet with new contacts that it would not meet otherwise and we believe their membership of TIGA will enable them to do this.

"The company is releasing House of Golf in September, a game we very much look forward to. We welcome the developer as a TIGA member and hope to see them at our forthcoming events."
