Chris Wright (Proper Games Ltd)
I've been in the games industry now for nearly 15 years, working in both traditional console games as well as the
less traditional mobile and digital spaces. I've seen both sides of the fence, working at developers and heading up
publishing and production at I-play the mobile games publisher. I understand the challenges faced by the
independent game development community.
I believe game development is one of the most innovative and creative industries in the world, and the UK has an
outstanding independent development industry. Working together, the opportunities are immense and my focus has been to see how small and large companies can collaborate on staff, projects and initiatives. In this I've managed to
successfully run secondment between companies, as well as being involved in mentoring and collaborating with other
developers.
If elected, my aim is to push for greater collaboration between members, especially as the changes in our industry
drive us to digital distribution and the barriers between development and publishing breakdown.

Following my spell as a founding director of TIGA back in 2000, my second term has been instructive in seeing how
far TIGA has come in its first decade - while the 5 year break has given me a useful distance and perspective on
how TIGA is seen from the outside. In representing Kuju, one the largest UK independent developers with studios
large and small, and active in most development sectors, from work-for-hire to digital self publishing, I believe I
can continue to make a rounded contribution ensuring TIGA’s priorities remain aligned with the bulk of its
membership.
Paul Mayze (Monumental Games)
As expected, 2009 was a difficult year for game developers in the UK – but those developers who have weathered the
storm to date have already benefitted from Tiga’s relentless campaigning and support over the last year. Tiga now
needs the support of its member developers – not only in financial terms through membership fees, but also in terms
of time and resources – in order to consolidate its position as the UK’s leading trade association for the games
industry. Like other board members, I will look to facilitate such support for Tiga and provide as much of my own
time as practicable to pursue the exciting opportunities that Tiga has identified over the last few months.
