Wayside is working actively on a number of platforms for adding interactivity to conventional printed materials - books, magazines, guides and programmes. The interactive media ranges form audio, video, animation and augmented reality and may be delivered to mobiles phones, TVs, web PC/IPTV, digital signage and other devices. Current product areas are interactive books and toys targeted largely at early learning and pre-educational uses (Zuza Interactive) and ubiquitous low cost interactive tourist guides for use in large scale public events (eg Olympics (Gateway Navigator). The platforms under development are both for internal use by associated publishers and originators of appropriate media and available to third party publishers. The media delivery capabilities of the platforms would be of interest, as a potential outlet, to originators in the audio, video, animation and AR/gaming areas.
